3 - The norman apogee

In the XIIc two towers were added in the norman style (Abbey aux hommes, Caen - Abbey aux dames Caen)
The abbey buildings extend the platform towards the west and south west. (Where we end up after climbing the stairs fro the abbey entrance)
At the same sime the monks build a convent ont the north flank.
